Thoughts on surviving Trump and a fascist government in America

We must not forget.

We must not accept Trump’s crimes, even as he dismantles and/or corrupts our legal system.

We must not cease our demands that public officials not lie, and not manipulate voters and citizens through the use of Hitler-style propaganda techniques.

We must never forget the lies of Trump and Vance about illegal Haitian immigrants stealing pet dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio, and eating them.

The news media are analyzing this election as if it were won on the basis of rational policy differences.

The media ignore the overwhelming role played by lies and propaganda in Trump’s victory.

They ignore the way the Republican Party became a group of fascists who had abandoned all moral values and united behind a fascist leader who exemplifies all the worst qualities of America and Americans throughout the country’s history.

We must maintain our belief in truth and honesty.

We must resolve to transform America into a country that can successfully resist Trump and his fascist movement, and ensure that Trump and the other fascists will never win again.

Were racist ads used to trigger voting responses of some New York Times readers

Bret Stephens, “Harris Needs a Closing Argument. Here’s One.” New York Times, October 15, 2024,

The ad of a young black woman wearing oversized red sunglasses appeared in so many ads as I was reading op-eds and other political articles as I followed rge campaign in the New York Times that I began to wonder if I was being targeted with that ad in order to produce a negative reaction that might lead to s vote for Trump.

The ad did produce a negative reaction. The young woman, if she was real, or AI generated image if she was not,hit a chord, reminding me of woke individuals I had seen on TV who struck me as having a pro-black and anti-white bias.

What struck me was the frequency with which I saw the same image and the perfect degree it seemed to be drawing an instant emotional reaction below the level of awareness.

Was this real? Did I accurately understand what was going on, how it seemed I was being manipulated?

Did others have this or a similar experience?

Arrest Trump for inciting violence

1) Hannah Knowles and Meryl Kornfield, “Trump says he doesn’t mind someone shooting at journalists at rally; Trump’s latest comments were an escalation of violent language he and his supporters have used in recent days, Washington Post, November 3, 2024 (2:04 p.m. EST);

2) Hannah Knowles, Marianne LeVine and Isaac Arnsdorf, “Trump embraces violent rhetoric, suggests Liz Cheney should have guns ‘trained on her face’;
The GOP nominee often describes graphic and gruesome scenes of crimes and violence,real and imagined,” Washington Post, November 1, 2024 (
Updated at 6:33 p.m. EDT);

3 Aaron Blake, “On Rlection Ve, Trump dances atound a powder ke, with a lit match,” Washington Post November 2, 2024 (11:13 a.m. aeST);

Onald Trump is a fascist to the core. If Republican lwmakers don’t call him out and condemn his latestincitement, that will merely conirm that the and the Republican Party aref fascist to the core.

These remarks are very deliberate icitements to violence and efforts to appeal to Trump’s most violent supporters?

Days before the election in 2024, Trump made a veiled appeal for the assassination of Vice President zjoe Bide.

His calculation must be that in all of excitement and tumult attending the election, nobody will pay attention or remember these crimes.

Regardless of who wins the electio, state prosecutors should seek indictments and prosecute Trump for incitement of violence, and in particular shooting Joe Biden and Kala Harris.

Trump thinks he is very clever with words. Let juries decide of he wasclever enought to avoid convictions and prison sentences in calling for violence
